This Career Coach position is within UWE Careers and Enterprise team, which is part of UWE Library, Careers and Inclusivity. There are two key projects to this role: One will involve supporting UWE graduates and the other part supporting students in the College of Health, Science and Society. We welcome applicants interested either in a part-time or fulltime job as this role can easily be split into two jobs or two project areas.
The Career Coach is responsible for providing targeted coaching, information and guidance support for students and/or recent graduates through 1:1 appointments, drop ins or delivered via careers workshops and events.
About you
You will be a qualified careers or enterprise professional, with experience of providing 1-1 careers coaching and workshops, looking to enter our dynamic and dedicated team here at UWE. You will have experience of, and skills related to, promoting and marketing events and administrative and IT systems. You will be motivated and able to work as part of a team, to plan and organise work which achieves results and delivers an excellent service.
Where is this role based?
This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed. However you may be required to work at other campuses as and when required. There is an expectation that some of your work will also be at our Glenside Campus which is set within beautiful grounds in Stapleton, just three miles north east of Bristol City Centre.
We are one of the largest providers of Higher Education in the South West with 38,000 students and 4,000 staff from right across the globe. Based in Bristol, one of the UK’s most exciting and forward-thinking cities, we are regionally embedded and globally connected, with an established network of employer and academic partners.
We offer a wide range of employee benefits including progressive pay rates, generous annual leave and career average pension schemes as well as retail savings, onsite nursery and opportunities for training and personal development.
We particularly encourage applications from Black, Asian or racially minoritised candidates as we are currently under-represented in this area of the organisation, however all appointments are made strictly on individual merit.
As a Disability Confident employer, we welcome applications from those who identify as having a disability.
