The Opportunity:
The Euclid mission launched from Cape Canaveral on 1st July 2023. The mission is designed to explore how the Universe has expanded, and how structure has formed. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Euclid Astronomers and Developers at the Royal Observatory, Edinburgh, to raise awareness of the importance of Euclid research and innovation, and to widen access and participation in further and higher education for people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
Your skills and attributes for success:
An HNC/HND with extensive work experience, or undergraduate degree in a science related subject, or equivalent experience.
Experience of organising events and public outreach and delivering public outreach.
Ability to convey messages to a varied audience with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience in use of social media/media management for professional purposes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
