Tailoring our service to each students’ individual needs and career aspirations, we are an integral part of the student journey that starts at enrolment and continues beyond graduation.
Our dedicated Teaching Fellow team are subject specialists focused on delivering student education, which is active, social, applied, and inclusive within our vibrant and varied education environment.
The Role
The School of Health and Care delivers an extensive range of undergraduate and post graduate courses for professionals working in health and social care settings including nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, paramedic science, operating department practice, diagnostic radiography, clinical psychology and public health.
As we continue to develop our Allied Health Professions educational offer, we have been successful in securing funding to further expand our provision with the development of post registration education including enhanced and advanced CPD.
We are looking to recruit a senior academic with a vision to create and work alongside experts to deliver an innovative post-registration CPD portfolio including injection therapy, clinical and professional skills development in response to employer, practice partner needs.
We are keen to hear from Allied Health Professional and/or Nursing registered with HCPC/NMC who have an interest in MSK/Neuro and are qualified to train injection therapy.
You will develop partnerships working with regulators, professional bodies, service users, employers, as part of delivering and developing our portfolio sustaining relationships with stakeholders to contribute to high quality education of health and care professionals.
As Senior Teaching Fellow you will be actively involved in the delivery of teaching as part of this role and course co-ordination while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs and other core activities ensuring students have an effective learning experience.
Senior Teaching Fellows lead on aspects of the learning experience including the leadership of staff teams.
Qualifications Required
Our Successful Candidate
You need to be a HCPC and/or NMC registrant and have demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-7 within health and care, with the development and demonstration of best practice in teaching, learning and assessment consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.
An experienced team leader with good level of digital fluency, you will have experience using creating teaching materials for face to face and online teaching using a VLE.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will have experience in the development and enhancement of an ‘active learning’ pedagogy as appropriate to the academic subject area.
As a global education provider, high levels of cultural awareness with experience of learner’s cultural differences and expectations with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds is essential.
Innovation and collaboration are key to our success, therefore the ability to generate and follow through innovative ideas, work both independently and part of a wider team with the willingness to engage in flexible ways of working are key skills required for this role. You will work together across Allied Health Profession curriculum areas to support the effective delivery of high-quality courses and promote excellence in learner experience.
