We are looking for a creative Campaigns Manager with a track record of delivering effective brand awareness and lead generation marketing campaigns. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in Lancaster University’s Marketing Office, overseeing a small team of marketing professionals to deliver engaging marketing and communication plans.
This new role is based within the wider Campaigns Team, who lead on brand-level marketing for student recruitment, including web, email marketing, advertising, organic social campaigns, and the creation of online and offline assets such as videos and prospectuses. The Team is made up of marketing, communications and digital content specialists who deliver B2C activity from initial lead generation through to enrolled student.
With a passion for campaign development and the latest trends in youth marketing, you will bring enthusiasm and innovation to the role; all to help Lancaster University stand out in a competitive higher education market.
This is a varied marketing role, with input into all the brand-level Campaign Team’s work. We’re looking for someone with significant experience of delivering B2C communication plans across multiple channels, and digital advertising including paid search, paid social, programmatic and retargeting.
You will be confident in communicating with a range of people from a variety of backgrounds and able to influence those outside your direct sphere of influence. As well as creative writing and project management skills, you should have excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all areas of work.
The Campaigns Manager will have line management responsibility for the Campaigns Officer, three marketing coordinators and the Marketing Impact Officer. Therefore, we are looking for someone with line management experience and the ability to motivate and mentor others.
You will also write creative briefs and manage external suppliers, such as design agencies, photographers and videographers, to deliver marketing projects on time and on budget.
Excellent IT and analytical skills are essential as you will be involved in determining the impact of the Team’s work. Experience of using content management systems, email marketing software or customer relationship management (CRM) systems would be an advantage.
This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis with a hybrid work pattern. The preference to fully work on campus can be accommodated if desired.
Please note that this post will require you to work during the clearing and confirmation period – usually mid-August around A level results day. Leave during this period will be restricted.
