About us
The Institute of Neurology Head Office, led by the Institute Manager, is part of the Institute’s Professional Services team. It provides local HR, Finance, Education Administration, Library, Laboratory Operations support, Web Development, Communication, and Executive support functions for the Institute, and works in close liaison with, and observes the requirements of, its corresponding divisions within central UCL.
The Finance team provides a comprehensive finance and accounting service to the Institute’s Research Departments and Administrative sections and supports UCL Finance teams with the financial management of the Institute.
About the role
You will form an integral part of the Institute Finance team and will be responsible to the Payments Supervisor, as well as working closely with the Finance Officer, and other members of the Finance and IoN Head Office team as required.
The role includes Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and purchasing duties, as well as assisting in the financial administration of the Institute’s financial responsibilities.
The post is offered part-time at 18.25 hours per week (0.50 Full Time Equivalent). This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 40% of time on site, and you will need to be able to work Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.

About you
You will have finance experience in an academic, medical, or research environment, and of operating an electronic finance system/electronic ordering systems. You should also have proven experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Good communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, and the ability to work flexibly and supportively as part of a team, is also essential for this role.
This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.

Starting salary offered in the range of £17,302.50 - £19,990 (i.e., 50% of £34,605 - £39,980) per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
