The Department of Medical Genetics at the University of Cambridge has an exciting opportunity to recruit a new Senior Research Associate for a 5-year period. This opportunity has been made possible by the tremendous support of the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation. This position aims to support the development of an early career scientist. We particularly encourage applications from individuals of diverse backgrounds, including those from Black and Minority Ethnic Groups as they are currently under-represented at this level within our University.
Applicants should have a research background in the field of genomics/mutagenesis which complements the existing activities of the Academic Department of Medical Genetics (ADMG) and the Early Cancer Institute (ECI). Applicants should also bring unique skills and expertise that will further grow our expertise.
This post will be ideal for candidates with 3-5 years post-doctoral experience with distinctive research achievements and a cutting-edge research plan for the next 5 years.
Interdisciplinary and collaborative research is strongly encouraged across the University and its associated institutes.
The successful candidate will be supported with an active mentorship programme.
