About us
You will be based at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, a world-leading research hub. You will have access to a wide array of methodologies and resources, including a newly developed research facility housing OPM-MEG, EEG, and virtual reality equipment alongside state of the art fMRI facilities.
About the role
In this position, you will work on projects seeking to characterise the neurocomputational mechanisms underpinning complex decision-making, with a view to understanding how these processes go awry in people who experience pathological worry. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of computational models and behavioural assessments, with the possibility of expanding this work into neuroimaging at a later date.
This is a full-time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 31.12.27.

Please note that this is a PhD level role but candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting award of their PhDs will be considered. In these circumstances the appointment will be made at Grade 5, spine point 30 with the title of Research Assistant. Upon confirmation of the award of the PhD, the job title will become Research Associate and the salary will increase to Grade 6.
