Quantitative Social Science (QSS) research centre
The Quantitative Social Science (QSS) research centre is an interdisciplinary group of academics and researchers with expertise in Economics, Sociology, Psychology, Social Statistics, Survey Methods and Data Collection, and techniques of policy evaluation. Together, we aim to undertake world-class, interdisciplinary social science research which is both academically renowned and policy-relevant. As our name suggests, our research revolves around the development and application of advanced quantitative methods to a wide-range of social science issues, with the aim of having real-world engagement and impact. We also aim to design and deliver world-class undergraduate and postgraduate education in all aspects of quantitative social science.

About the role
We are seeking an Lecturer (Teaching) in Economics to contribute to teaching. Relevant fields include, but are not limited to: economics of education, labour economics, applied microeconomics. Applicants with an interest in data science are especially welcome. You will be expected to provide cover for one of the core impact evaluation modules on our MSc Social Research Methods degree as well as enhance our interdisciplinary research portfolio. The successful candidate will be expected to serve as a personal tutor and engage in the supervision of dissertations. The appointee will contribute to the life and functioning of the department more broadly.

About you
You will have a PhD in Economics, Political Economy or other economics subfield (or be close to completion). You will have experience in in teaching, curriculum design and development at undergraduate/postgraduate level with experience of undergraduate and/or postgraduate personal tutoring and dissertation supervision.
