We are pleased to invite applications for a Senior Lecturer on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology to deliver and develop the Systemic Foundation & Intermediate AFT accredited pathways which commenced with a Foundation pathway in September 2023. The post is open to ambitious qualified systemic psychotherapists with a commitment to the training of systemic skills for psychological practitioners. This permanent post is supported by funding from NHS England.
The systemic pathway is an embedded course within the DClinPsy, which DClinPsy trainees undertake alongside their usual duties. It runs in collaboration with psychological practitioners in the NHS as well as the other DClinPsy training courses across the North Thames Region. The pathway is intended to contribute towards meeting the strategic needs of the NHS in London for qualified clinical psychologists; specifically supporting the development of systemic psychotherapy competences during clinical psychology training.
In 2024 the RHUL DClinPsy Programme has 56 commissioned places per cohort through its contract with the NHSE. The post-holder will join an innovative and supportive team of 18 clinical-academic staff with a range of expertise across child, adult, learning disability, health, older-adult and neuropsychology specialities. The post holder will deliver a range of academic duties (including lecturing, running seminars and marking) alongside a significant strategic and course design role.
The course sits within a vibrant Psychology Department, internationally recognised for world-class research and teaching. The Department has excellent facilities as well as strong links with clinical organisations, government, industry, and charity affiliations. We are proud of our atmosphere of strong collegiality in the department, and we are highly committed to principles of equity and diversity.
