The Fire Engineering team at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) has an international reputation for the delivery of “world class” programmes in the area of Fire Safety Engineering / Management and Emergency Preparedness. As a consequence, UCLan is the choice educational establishment to provide programmes at the Ras Laffan Emergency and Safety College, based in Qatar. The college is purpose built with state-of-the-art facilities to provide training and education in the areas of fire safety and civil defence.
We are expanding our course provision around Emergency and Crisis Management and are seeking suitably qualified individuals who have either experience of delivering academic programmes or vocational and professional experience in this area. The positions will be short -term contracts (12 months) with the potential for annual renewal. We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants with experience in one or more of the following areas: environmental impact of disasters, humanitarian aspects of disasters, Hi-tec aspects of emergency management and planning for counter-terrorist events.
