The Position: We are looking for an outstanding Lecturer of English with a track record of success, and with passion, enthusiasm and creativity to join our expanding team.
We specialise in English and maths retake opportunities (GCSE and Functional Skills) for young people, as part of their study programme, as well as supporting them with additional sessions in our English and maths Hubs.
We are looking for newly qualified or experienced English lecturers in further education with the ability to deliver predominantly GCSE English but some opportunities to teach Functional Skills English within the department at our Nuneaton, Hinckley and Harrowbrook campuses. You will have a passion for innovation, bringing new ideas and embedding new technologies into the learning environment.
What skills and responsibilities are we looking for:
Working as part of the maths and English team you will be responsible for the delivery and development of courses. You will possess an excellent knowledge and understanding of English and be able to plan and use a range of effective and appropriate teaching and learning techniques including new and up and coming technologies.
As well as your relevant experience and current knowledge, you will also be willing to obtain a relevant teaching qualification (DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent) if you do not already possess one.
