The Opportunity:
The University of Edinburgh has recently entered into an exciting new partnership with Aquatics GB, Scottish Swimming and Edinburgh Leisure to develop and deliver one of only three high performance centres for diving in the UK.
Hosted by the University, the Partnership is actively recruiting an Aquatics GB Performance Centre Lead Coach. You will be responsible for leading, developing and managing the high-performance diving centre programme at the Edinburgh Royal Commonwealth Pool as determined by Aquatics GB, that is capable of producing medal-winning performances at Olympic, World Championship and Commonwealth Games level.
We are seeking a world-class, high-performance coaching expert to enable high performing athletes and associated programme athletes to succeed on the world stage. Working alongside the Aquatics GB leadership team and University of Edinburgh Head of Performance Sport, you will lead, manage and coordinate all strategic and operational matters relating to a new High-Performance Centre for Aquatics GB in partnership with Scottish Swimming, the University and Edinburgh Leisure. This includes the full performance management responsibility for up to 10 reports and a wider performance team of c.30; expanding to freelance contractors as required. Budget responsibility and collective decisions will involve resources comprised of direct awards and in-kind services of an annual budget of around £500K initially.
