The Opportunity:
We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow to join the group of Prof. David Lyons at the University of Edinburgh to investigate mechanisms of myelinated axon formation, health, and function.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
The post is available for 12 months from start date or until 31/12/2025 as latest end date in the first instance.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- PhD (viva completed) in neuroscience, developmental biology, or similar
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly, orally and in writing
- Extensive expertise in molecular biology, particularly RNA sequencing and analysis
- Experience of using zebrafish as a model is desirable
