About the role
The Admissions Office is looking for an experienced admissions professional to support the international undergraduate admissions operation at the University.
You will be one of two deputies for the Undergraduate Admissions Officer, who heads up the UCAS team, and will be responsible for ensuring the swift, accurate and fair processing of international undergraduate applications received at Sussex.
You will lead on matters relating to international applicants, including international qualification advice, UKVI arrangements and compliance, liaison with colleagues in international recruitment (especially around overseas partnerships), and processes for progressing students from the University’s International Study Centre.
As part of the Admissions Office leadership team, you will work alongside colleagues in Postgraduate Admissions and Scholarships to provide guidance to the Head of Admissions and input into strategic decisions around admissions.
The Admissions Office comprises over 40 staff, split between Undergraduate Admissions, Postgraduate Admissions and a small Scholarships team. The Head of Admissions oversees the work of the whole office.
