This post is full-time (35 hours per week) and is fixed-term for 12 months, in the first instance.
The University of Glasgow is seeking to appoint a Research Associate within the School of James Watt School of Engineering.
The successful candidate will make a leading contribution to a project aiming at the development of Terahertz (THz) Quantum Communication Hardware with Coherent Superconducting Devices and Circuits under the supervision of Dr Kaveh Delfanazari. You will be involved in experimental activities from design, to fabrication, test, validation, and operation of the hardware in THz quantum communication systems. You will have access to our world-class facilities at the Electronics and Nanoscale Engineering Division, Centre for Quantum Technology as well as the state-of-the-art nanofabrication facilities at the James Watt Nanofabrication Centre (JWNC) of the University of Glasgow. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the daily supervision of PhD students within the group, formulate and submit research publications and research proposals, and help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.
