Technician Assistant – Fashion Store

We are currently seeking a Technician Assistant Fashion Store who has extensive fabric and sales knowledge to join our dynamic Fashion Team and work with our creative students to support the development and production of their innovative design work. You will be working in our fabric store at our Epsom Campus, also working closely with the Fashion Team and our degree students. 

The main role of the Technician Assistant Fashion Store will include the sale, procurement and handling of fabrics, issue of items loaned to students and management of the fabric library. 

You will be reporting to the Technical Services Manager, fulfilling a range of duties which include retail sales, the use of a PDQ card machine, use of Microsoft Office, manual handling and stock control. 

You should have extensive knowledge of all types of fabrics used in the production of garments, knowledge of garment construction and have the ability to handle heavy rolls of fabric.   

You will have a confident, professional manner with strong team-working ability and excellent customer service skills.
