This is an exciting opportunity to join an international project as a Research Fellow (AC2) in the School of Art and Media.
The project, entitled “Ageism in AI: new forms of age discrimination and exclusion in the era of algorithms and artificial intelligence (AGEAI)”, is funded by the Volkswagen Foundation for the period of 2023-2027 to investigate age discrimination in AI systems, products and services.
The role will involve planning and carrying out new empirical research, gathering and analysing qualitative data, and writing reports and papers; dissemination activities including presenting at conferences and running stakeholder events with international partners at the Berlin Social Science Center (WZB), Open University of Catalonia, and Leiden University, Amsterdam.

You will be employed for a period of 24 months, with a possibility of extension, on a FT basis (37 hrs per week) starting on 1st December 2024 and no later than 1st January 2025. This role is eligible for hybrid working.
