We have an exciting opportunity to join the IT Services Department as an AV Support Technician working as part of the AV Support Service in an on-site role.
Our AV Support Technicians are responsible for providing specialist technical support and customer service to the wider university.

About the Role
The purpose of this role is to ensure the functionality of AV systems across multiple sites in the University as part of the Educational Media Services team. The role will entail working with colleagues in Educational Media Services (https://help.it.ox.ac.uk/media) to support the teaching and learning objectives of the University and reporting to the AV Support Service Officer.
As part of the AV Support Service, you will play a key role in supporting teaching staff as well as a range of activities including lectures, meetings, events and online hybrid working. You will also be required to provide end users with support, consultancy, recommendations and advice on how to use AV related software and hardware devices.
About You
You will have a strong customer focus, flexible “can do” attitude and a passion for audio visual technologies and communication. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team and independently. Strong IT skills and demonstrable experience of supporting end users is essential.
You should have demonstrable organisational skills, be able to prioritise and plan your work effectively and work to deadlines. You will also be confident in providing technical advice and will have a working knowledge of copyright, GDPR and accessibility and inclusivity needs pertaining to AV support.
You will have a passion for problem solving and be able to identify technical gaps and workflow problems to assist and support management decision-making to enhance and further develop the service.
