Here at Bury College, we are seeking a Lecturer in GCSE English on a full time, fixed term basis. The ideal Lecturer in GCSE English candidate will deliver excellent and inclusive teaching, learning and assessment on our GCSE English courses, inspiring learners to succeed and progress.
Are you passionate about teaching and learning, keen to share your experience, skills, and knowledge with others?
Can you be a positive and inspirational role model for learners? If so, this could be the perfect role for you!
You will plan delivery so schemes of work, lesson plans and individual learning plans support learner programmes and undertake ongoing high-quality formative and summative assessment of learners’ work, both in class and through regular out of class activity to monitor progress.
About You
We’re looking for someone who holds a degree or equivalent in English (or a related subject area) and who has previous teaching experience on English (or related) courses (or teaching practice for ECT’s). Your experience will include producing effective schemes of work and lesson plans, and mean you are able to integrate high-quality formative assessments into classroom delivery.
A teaching qualification or professional recognition in learning and skills is not essential, however we do ask that you are working towards this.
