About the Role
The Data Analysis Assistant will contribute to the health informatics work of the Clinical Effectiveness Group (CEG). The work will require remotely extracting and processing data from GP clinical systems, such as EMIS web, to produce data reports and dashboards to support commissioned services and health intelligence.
About You
The successful candidate will have good experience of using either Microsoft Excel or Access to manipulate data and will have excellent computer and communication skills. They will be able to manage their own workload and to work to deadlines as part of the wider data team. They will demonstrate an awareness and appreciation of issues relating to information governance and confidentiality and be keen to develop themselves in this role. Previous experience in, and knowledge of, the primary care sector and clinical systems is desirable.
About the School/Department/Institute/Project
The Wolfson Institute of Population Health harnesses expertise across a wide range of population based research and education activities and aims to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health, primary care and preventive medicine.
The post-holder will work in the Clinical Effectiveness Group (CEG), which is composed of academics, researchers, clinicians, and facilitators who use data-driven tools and research to improve population health and clinical outcomes in North East London and beyond.
