The role
The IT Services department is in a period of growth and transformation, and we are looking to appoint a Planning & Resources Assistant to support our Executive Services team.
This role will be primarily campus-based to assist office-based IT Service staff ensuring the office environment is a safe and functioning space and assisting our Planning & Resources Officer.
What will you be doing?
The post holder will work as part of a team under the leadership of an Executive Officers by undertaking tasks including arranging travel, catering, training and supplies. They will work alongside the Planning & Resources Officer supporting them in their duties as they support the wider IT Services team across the campus.
This is a hands-on role and at times will require greeting visitors to the department, receiving deliveries, stock management, assisting with office and space changes.

The post-holder will need to demonstrate organisational, administrative and communication skills and have experience of prioritising work within a busy office environment. Good IT skills and experience of software packages such as Microsoft Office are essential. Familiarity with University systems and processes would be an advantage, although training will be provided.
