Background
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and flexible individual who is passionate about events and engaging with prospective students, schools and colleges. This opportunity would suit a candidate who enjoys a varied and engaging role working closely within a pro-active and supportive team. As part of the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Social Care Operations Team, the Events & Engagement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and developing the faculty’s events and engagement activities. The post holder will also be required to deputise for the Team Leader Events, Engagement and Social Media, so the post holder will also be expected to oversee all areas of the team including social media in these circumstances.
We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible. Flexible and connected campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year but must purposefully align to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. The faculty supports hybrid working however within this role flexibility in work location and days is required due to the nature of the role.

Who are we looking for?
You will be educated to GCSE standard or an equivalent with experience of event/engagement planning and coordination. You must demonstrate communication skills with a broad range of stakeholder groups. Well-developed skills in Microsoft Office programmes are essential.

The post holder will be based at the Canterbury Campus but will be expected to spend a proportion of time working off-site including at our Medway campus and attending events. Therefore, it is a requirement for the post holder to be flexible, drive and have access to a car to carry out this work, plus have business use included on their vehicle insurance.
