The University is seeking an accomplished strategic leader for the role of Director of Communications and Marketing. As a key member of LBU’s leadership team, reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Resources), you will have responsibility for driving the development and implementation of LBU’s communications and marketing strategy to build LBU’s competitive advantage in UK and international markets, to strengthen staff and student engagement, and to help refine and further embed its regional role as an anchor institution in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the creation of a newly integrated communications, marketing, and student recruitment directorate, and to play a critical role in the advancement of the institution, building our profile and reputation to help deliver our vision and ambitious agenda.

We are seeking a strategic leader with the proven experience of leading successful communication and marketing strategies in higher education or an organisation of comparable scale and complexity. You will have superb communication skills and experience of developing a compelling brand position that supports the strategic priorities of your organisation. You will have a track record of leading high performing teams and will be highly skilled at collaborating and developing relationships across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
