An exciting opportunity exists to join the senior management team of the Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (RIKE) Service.
This is a challenging but rewarding role and involves managing a large team of Research Support Officers so a strong background experience of managing medium to large teams is essential.
As Research Funding Manager, you will take ownership of key aspects of the University’s strategic plan in relation to increasing the income generation of RIKE and increasing our reputation with key funders for high quality and well managed projects.
With a degree or equivalent work experience in a similar role, you will have experience of working in Higher Education and the research infrastructure of a university as well as a proven track record in managing grants and projects and leading on the preparation for audits with successful outcomes.
You will also have a strong customer care ethos, both to supporting our internal staff and external organisations and partners.
We offer an excellent employment package including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).
The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all. Find out more about our approach to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, including our commitments and accreditations as a Disability Confident Employer, Stonewall Gold Award holder and Top 100 Employer, Athena SWAN Bronze Award holder and Race Equality Charter Bronze Award holder.
