The University of Huddersfield is increasingly popular as a study destination for international students coming to study in the UK. The International Office plays a key role within the University and is responsible for the recruitment, enrolment, and student experience of these students, with a focus on integration.
This is a front-line post, ensuring that current and newly arrived students receive a world-class experience throughout their academic lifetime at the University. The work is diverse, interesting, and offers variety and career development.
Educated to degree level or equivalent education/training/work-based experience, you will have experience of using the Microsoft Office suite including Excel and have high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. You will have an excellent customer care ethic and be confident in communicating with people at all levels and have a knowledge and understanding of different cultures. You will also have a basic knowledge of immigration and visa regulations for international students and an understanding of student record and financial systems. Marketing and communications skills would be an advantage.
Please note, this post has working days of Monday and Tuesday. Unfortunately, there is no flexibility on these days due to the current staffing set up.
We offer an excellent employment package including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).
The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all.
