We are looking to appoint a full time Student Support Officer to join our busy and thriving Quality, Standards and Registry department on a fixed term basis to provide holistic support to our higher education students and to signpost to other support services as necessary, ensuring a sensitive and supportive approach to equality. The post holder will also hold responsibility for collating and sharing information regarding the learning needs of individual students, as well as providing teaching of academic skills to student groups.

This is a pivotal role which ensures high quality support for our students. You will need to be qualified to degree level within a relevant discipline and have experience supporting higher education students, in particular neurodiverse students.

The post holder must have a high level of written accuracy and have practical experience of supporting students in Higher education. Experience of supporting students using the Harvard method of referencing would be an advantage.
You will need to be a self-starter, with the ability to get on well with people, be highly organised in order to meet deadlines and work to a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment. A flexible approach to work and a friendly, approachable nature are key to being successful in this role.
