About the role
The Admissions Office is looking to appoint three new Admissions Coordinators (one permanent and two fixed term) to help process applications and respond to applicant enquiries.
Working as part of the centralised Admission Office, you will assist with the smooth, professional, and efficient running of the University’s admissions operation by taking responsibility for processing applications in defined areas and/or by managing and responding to the large volumes of enquiries the Office receives from applicants.
The work processing applications will be within the Undergraduate Admissions team (supporting the UCAS operation); whilst the enquiries work is across the whole Office, including postgraduate. In the summer, you will assist with the results period and the University’s Clearing operation. This will include working one day at the weekend in August when the A-level results are received, working longer hours during the week of A level publication and potentially the Saturday following A level publication.

The Admissions Team work together closely throughout the admissions cycle, so you will have demonstrable team working skills while also possessing the ability to work independently and take initiative, when required.
You will need excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
You will ideally have experience of working with people from across the globe and in dealing with those whose first language is not English.
