We have an exciting opportunity in the School of Chemical, Materials and Biological Engineering, University of Sheffield for a highly motivated Research Technician, with experience in (bio)process development and/or biomanufacturing and laboratory management. You will work as an integral member of the team building on our prior work and developing an end-to-end automated, continuous, compact, multi-product mRNA process-in-a-box: the RNAboxTM.
You will use your organisational, laboratory management, communication and technical skills to provide essential support to our team, led by Dr Zoltan Kis and Professor Mark Dickman, research activities and play a key role ensuring research projects are delivered to defined milestones.
You will preferably possess a good honours level degree or Higher National Diploma in a relevant scientific field, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with key awareness in the functioning of the research laboratory environment. Experimental wet-lab skills, organisational skills, thorough documentation and teamwork skills are essential.
