The role
A position has become available for a Diagnostic Radiographer to join our friendly and supportive Medical Imaging team at the University of Exeter in a developmental academic post working in our research active group. You will be based at the idyllic St Luke’s Campus, which houses Medical Imaging and our facilities including DR, US scanners, DXA scanners and pQCT. The University also has a 3T MRI scanner and PET/CT scanner housed on the nearby hospital site.
This post may interest radiographers from a wide range of backgrounds who wish to move into academia, gaining experience of teaching whilst undertaking research training in the form of PhD. This post comes with an associated fully funded part-time PhD studentship. You will be expected to split your time across five days, with two days per week spent on your PhD and three days per week teaching or undertaking work to support teaching or students.
Responsibilities will include teaching modules on our pre-registration Radiography programmes under the supervision of experienced academics. This role involves lecturing, running practical / clinical skills sessions, providing pastoral care and tutorial support to undergraduate students and undertaking academic administrative duties as required.
