Located in the vibrant Marylebone area, OELS is seeking a motivated and highly organised new member to join our dynamic team of 12 employees.
OELS welcomes approximately 1,500 students every year and offers programmes in Business Management, Engineering, Communications, and Political Science.
We have historically acted as a study abroad campus and are now additionally planning to register with the Office for Students and develop New Degree Awarding Powers (NDAPs).

The Role
This part-time position (20 hours per week) offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a positive and forward-thinking team working in education. The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
- Student Records Management: Maintain accurate and confidential student records, including enrolment, grades, attendance, transcripts, and academic progress.
- Exams Management: Oversee the scheduling, administration, and operation of all invigilated exams.
- Leadership and Management: Support the governance process by contributing to the management of academic committees. Line-manage team members including appraisal, recruitment, and induction.
- Scheduling: Oversee the scheduling of classes, coordinating with faculty, and ensuring that course offerings align with academic policies and student needs.
- Registration Services: Oversee the registration process, including managing online registration systems and resolving registration issues.
- Compliance and Quality: Active coordination with the Quality Manager in ensuring compliance with Higher Education regulations.
- Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for students, faculty, and staff regarding registration, assessment organisation and records.
- Student Experience: Manage well-being support and extra-curricular activities.

- This role reports to the Director of OELS
Person Specification
Essential:
- Extensive expertise of OfS regulation, including registration and New Degree Awarding Powers.
- Proven experience as a Registrar in an English HEI.
- Master's degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Compliance: proof of ability to work and live in the UK.
- Proactive, reliable, resourceful.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Professional qualifications in education/ teaching and learning incl. (S)FHEA.
- Experience of working in a small and developing English HEI
- B1 level of French.
Salary & Benefits
- £55,000 - £65,000 per annum pro-rata depending on qualifications and experience.
