The role
The Berger Schaffitzel laboratories are seeking to fill a Research Technician post at the School of Biochemistry, University of Bristol UK.
You will manage the MultiBac baculovirus/insect cell facility and the molecular biology platforms, showing a high degree of independence and resourcefulness.
You will underpin world-class research in molecular and structural biology.
You will participate in a vibrant and dynamic, inclusive and equitable research environment in a laboratory developing and applying cutting edge technology to generate new knowledge and biological insights in a top 10 UK University, in one of the best cities to live in the UK.
What will you be doing?
You will be part of a leading research team engaged in transcription factor research and synthetic vaccine design. Showing a high degree of independence, you will manage, resource and operate the baculovirus/insect cell platform in the Eukaryotic Expression Facility (EEF), using the MultiBac technology developed by the Berger Schaffitzel team, and you will manage and operate the molecular biology platforms associated with MultiBac operations. Using cutting-edge technology, you will carry out and underpin world-class research in the Berger Schaffitzel teams.
