We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher with demonstrable experience in molecular and cell biology techniques to join the Oppermann group based at the Botnar Research Centre, within the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS) in Oxford. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team of scientists and clinician researchers.

You will contribute to co-ordinating and integrating the experimental work and to the analysis of genetic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and imaging data, with the overarching aim to provide new evidence of pathogenicity of proteins and pathways across MSK diseases and with a view to design innovative therapeutic intervention points.

You will have a Doctoral (PhD) degree or equivalent or be near completion in human and/or chemical or molecular biology, or a related relevant scientific subject. You will also be able to demonstrable experience, ability, and practical success in molecular and cell biology techniques such as cell culture, molecular cloning, immune-precipitation techniques, transcriptomics, next generation sequencing and proteomics techniques and cell-based assay development. Documented experience in genetics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and imaging data analysis is also essential. Previous research experience in the genetics of human disease, and previous experience working with large datasets with demonstrable expertise in the use of statistical packages, including R and/or Python is desirable.

This is a full-time fixed term appointment for 36 months.
