About the Role:

As Academic Services Partner: Planning & Regulation, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate submission of all regulatory returns to external government agencies. Working closely with departments like the People Team, Finance, and all areas of the Provost’s Office, you will also support the academic cycle’s planning and key university processes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of key statutory returns, including OfS and HESA, as well as other student-related returns.
  • Provide business partnering to multiple teams across the university, including support for our academic partners in completing regulatory and legal submissions.
  • Oversee the planning and management of the university’s Quality Assurance and student data cycles.
  • Maintain the university's risk and policy registers, ensuring they are up to date and compliant with regulations.
  • Liaise with senior leadership to proactively address and resolve any regulatory return issues, advising on potential challenges.
  • Develop and improve business processes for student data, management information, and internal/external reporting.
  • Provide committee servicing and administrative support to the Provost’s Office when required.
  • Deputise for the Head of Quality Assurance & Enhancement as necessary.

What You’ll Bring:

  • A degree-level qualification with experience using Banner or similar student record systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK regulatory returns and experience in managing these processes.
  • Proven ability to build strong, collaborative relationships across departments and advise on regulatory matters.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and experience presenting data to inform decision-making.
  • A commitment to supporting and promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion across the university.
