We are seeking an exceptional individual to join the Humanities Division at the University of Oxford as the Director of Commercial for the new multi-million pound Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities. Currently under construction, the new building will be publicly accessible academic building delivering the highest quality teaching and research, alongside and integrated with a range of world-class performance venues including a concert hall, theatre, exhibition space, and cafe.
Based in Oxford, this exciting new role will be responsible for developing and delivering the commercial strategy for the new Centre. It will manage the full range of commercial activities, including conferencing, hospitality, commercial hires, food and beverage, merchandising, and more. It will also need to explore and develop new and emerging income streams.
We are looking for someone with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and proven track record in developing and implementing commercial strategies, who can increase profitability and drive sustained growth in the Centre’s commercial operations.
