About the role
The A&H Faculty Office is the administrative unit that sets and oversees strategic direction for the Faculty and its constituent departments as a coherent whole. It takes the lead for the Faculty on matters such as communications and marketing, and estates, and has oversight of the budget across the Faculty.
The role of Faculty Support Officer is a key post within the A&H Faculty Office Team, providing administrative support to those in senior leadership roles, in particular the Faculty Vice Deans.
The appointee will assume general and specific duties to progress the operational activities of the A&H Faculty Office. These duties include: providing dedicated operational support, including diary management, to assigned Faculty Vice Deans; arranging meetings and committee servicing for the Vice Deans and others at Faculty and School level; administrative support relating to events; financial processing such as for procurement, invoices and expenses and general office duties.
About you
The successful candidate will be educated to A-level standard or equivalent. Applicants will be able to demonstrate good organisation skills, with an ability to manage their own variable workload, and be able to use their excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively and regularly with a wide range of stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with excellent IT skills and experience of committee servicing and running events, are key requirements of the role.
