Department
The International Business Development (IBD) team, is part of the Marketing and Student Recruitment, and is based with the Communications and External Relations Section. The IBD Team coordinate a range of international engagement and business development activities including sponsor management, progression link partnerships, international visits and delegations, study abroad recruitment and bespoke short courses and summer programmes for a range of international stakeholders.
Duties of the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and proactive International Business Development Officer to help develop our study abroad and bespoke short programme offer. Working with colleagues across the university, and partners abroad, you will be responsible for developing and delivering effective business plans and associated activity to further grow study abroad and bespoke programme income, this will require the development of business proposals as well as the development and management of the programmes.
Skills and qualifications required
You should have a degree or equivalent level qualification or experience, and relevant administrative experience within the higher education sector is desirable. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as sound administrative and financial management skills and experience of dealing with multiple priorities and tight deadlines. You will have a strong understanding of Study Abroad and the competitive international education environment. You should expect to undertake regular periods of evening and weekend work, and some international travel may be required (for which time off in lieu will be given).
