Mary Immaculate College (MIC) is an autonomous, university-level, Catholic College of Education and the Liberal Arts. Founded in 1898, and linked academically with the University of Limerick, MIC is the oldest higher education institution in Limerick. Mary Immaculate College wishes to appoint an Assistant Professor in Mathematics Education on a Full-Time, Permanent basis.
The Department of STEM Education is seeking an innovative and involved faculty member to teach on Education programmes within the Faculty of Education. The person appointed will have duties in the area of Mathematics Education. They will also have general duties in the area of education, e.g., supervision of School Placement, supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research.
Commitment to high-quality teaching and learning in a student-centred environment is important. Enthusiasm for a multi-disciplinary environment is desired with experience in working in integrated STEM environments. The person appointed must exhibit evidence of strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research and continued scholarly activity.
