As Disability Services Manager you will oversee and manage the disability advice and support service within the University, ensuring that the service meets the key priority delivery areas and is delivered to required timescales. The Disability Services Manager will lead the team providing support for disabled students, including those with neurodivergent, mental health and long-term medical conditions, as well as those with mobility and sensory impairments. Working within the wider context of the Student Services Directorate, you will establish and maintain close links with related student and staff support teams.
The role-holder will provide proven expert guidance and specialist expertise in the areas of inclusivity in relation to the needs of disabled students, ensuring an excellent support service is delivered to students in line with the University’s strategy.
The ideal candidate will be passionate and committed about supporting inclusive learning. You will also need to be able to manage competing priorities effectively and to remain calm when dealing with students in distress.
This role requires satisfactory clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) at an enhanced level.
