About the Role
Applications are sought for a Centre Administrator for the Centre for Dental Public. Supporting all administration and finance operations of the Centre, the role holder will also engage and work with the Centre team. The post-holder will report to the Deputy Institute Manager to support the Centre’s activities, as well as supporting academic colleagues and external stakeholder who are contributing to the Centre’s projects and initiatives.
About you
Essential requirements for this post include being educated to degree level or equivalent experience. Significant administrative experience, including accounts administration as well as the ability to priorities a varied workload and meet deadlines, is essential. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good attention to detail are also essential. Previous experience in a higher education environment would be an advantage.
About the School/Department/Institute/Project
The Institute of Dentistry has a long and proud history of providing internationally renowned taught programmes, with a combined cohort of c500 students.
In addition to the usual academic staff of a university, the Institute also employs a significant number of clinical academic staff who are intrinsic to the delivery of clinical practice primarily within Barts Health NHS Trust. This clinical dimension adds a significant degree of complexity, bringing with it, for example, a requirement to understand NHS workings, clinical career and training paths and GMC/GDC/medical Royal Colleges/DoH regulations and requirements in the employment and training of clinical staff.
