We are seeking a highly proactive iTEK Senior Project Officer to join Student Enterprise within our Innovation & Impact team.
About the role
The Innovation & Impact team form part of the Research, Innovation, and Impact (RII) division. The division supports the research, innovation, and impact activity across the University. The role of iTEK Senior Project Officer reports to the Student Enterprise Manager within the Innovation & Impact Team.
Tasked with managing the successful delivery of the iTEK programme, the iTEK Senior Project Officer will promote the new intrapreneurial pathway to students, attracting, recruiting, and supporting students through the iTEK programme. They will proactively identify small and medium sized organisations to provide innovation challenges, building relationships, scoping knowledge exchange projects, and supporting project execution.
This role is 0.5 FTE fixed term to 31/07/25. Part of this role will be to aim to secure funding to support the running of the iTEK programme beyond this period.
About you
We are looking for someone who can communicate effectively with researchers, business partners, and students, and provide advice and guidance. You will be experienced in programme management and project delivery. Tasks will include helping business partners to create a project brief which fits the iTEK objectives and matches up with the embedded course modules, matching and placing students to projects, controlling programme documentation, finance, contracts, and administrative process requirements.
