We are recruiting to the role of Tutor in Professional Practice Law (1FTE) to join our new group organisation, Roehampton Education Services Ltd (RESL), to deliver the Law School’s developing professional and academic portfolio, including LLB, LLM & SQE related qualifications, on behalf of the University of Roehampton. This is an exciting time to join RESL, as we develop and grow further preparatory, undergraduate, postgraduate and graduate professional educational pathways in Law.
Applications are invited for the Tutor in Professional Practice Law position, 1FTE full-time (37.5 hours per week).
The Role
This role is ideal for someone who has experience of delivering advanced levelhigher education (L4-L7) quality learning, teaching and assessment, module/ course management, and strong student experience/ outcomes in a higher educational and/or private provider setting. Key responsibilities will include delivering exceptional learning and teaching for Law School modules/ programmes including subjects such as Land Law, Tort Law, Medical Law and contributing to university-wide Continuing Professional Development courses relevant to your subject expertise, ensuring high quality student experience, engagement, outcomes and assessment management. Delivery will include professional and academic teaching on relevant Project, Research and/or Subject modules/ courses, ensuring students have the appropriate subject, academic and professional skills for professional entry and/or postgraduate certification.

You will be responsible for teaching across relevant Law School and/or university-wide CPD programmes (applicable to your skills and expertise) and will oversee designated module/ course delivery, developing relevant module/ course learning materials, leading assessment and ensuring appropriate teaching and learning support for home and/or international students from a variety of backgrounds.
You will work collaboratively with contributing teaching teams, the Law School and Deputy Dean of Business and Law, Head of Law, RESL teams (including the Law Clinic Manager) and other relevant University-wide departments.
You will have experience in and a proven track record in SQE and be able to support students with practical cases that come through our Law Clinic.
You will have a proven track record in preparation and professional education learning and teaching (L4-L7), and experience of supporting the needs of diverse home and international student groups to achieve strong student engagement and outcomes. You will be teaching-led with a student-focused approach to lifelong learning, inclusive education, professional education and industry readiness alongside a range of knowledge and expertise within Law Project, Research and/or Subject Skills Support towards Masters Study.
