A Horizon Europe funded Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) position is available at the Department of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine and the Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science (LCCS) at the University of Liverpool.
You will join an ambitious EU-wide collaboration (TARGET: Health virtual twins for the personalised management of stroke related to atrial fibrillation, https://target-horizon.eu/) developing novel AI-powered diagnostic tools to support the managements of patients with stroke. This is a unique opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment at the interface of social science, AI, and clinical translation. You will join Professor Deirdre Lane’s group working on exploring patient, healthcare provider and other stakeholders’ views, understanding, acceptability and engagement with virtual (digital) twins for healthcare and potential barriers and facilitators of implementation in practice, using qualitative methodology. In addition, using co-production methodology, you will help to co-produce the interfaces of the digital tools used to support clinical decisions and examine their implementation in clinical practice. You will also be given the opportunity to contribute to teaching and engage with career development opportunities.
The post is available for 48 months with an expected start date of 1 November 2024.
You will have a PhD in a relevant discipline.
