The BA (Hons) Fine Art programme within the School of Arts at the University of Derby offers students the potential to develop critical and creative approaches to Fine Art practice. With a focus on independent, experimental, collaborative, and interdisciplinary practice, the programme allows students to emerge as confident practising artists.
About the Role
In this role, you will deliver and support teaching within the Fine Art Department for undergraduate level students on a sessional contract basis. You will be responsible for both solo and collaborative teaching, which will include preparation and assessment responsibilities. You will work within the department team as a valued colleague and directed by the programme leader. This includes teaching within a variety of settings including workshops, individual tutorials, seminars, and lectures.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a first and second degree in Fine Art of Fine Art related practice and vibrant engagement as a practicing artist evidenced with a portfolio of work. They will understand the symbiosis of practice and research and demonstrate experience related to educational activities, teaching, and public engagement contexts.
