The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare Education at the University of Chester delivers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses for pre and post registration learners. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced individual who will work
in a collaborative manner and lead the effective management and development of the Division of Midwifery.
Your duties will include:
> Co-ordination of all activities relating to teaching and research in Midwifery.
> Providing strategic direction, academic and discipline/subject leadership and line management of designated staff, with accountability for delivery of agreed outputs and overall performance.
> Active engagement as part of the School’s Management team, working closely with colleagues within the School, and across the Faculty, to ensure delivery of strategic plans and the alignment of learning and teaching, research, knowledge exchange, practice, international and other key agendas.
> Responsibility for the continued development, growth, and financial sustainability of the Midwifery portfolio.
You will be an experienced Midwifery academic who has relevant previous Higher Education programme management and educational leadership experience, along with supporting students and colleagues in education and research activities.
Suitable candidates can be considered for an Associate Professor or Professor appointment (Professorial criteria attached in the documents section online). Please indicate in your letter of application if you wish to be considered for a professorial title.
