A Horizon Europe funded Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) position is available at the Department of Eye and Vision Science and the Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science (LCCS) at the University of Liverpool. You will join an ambitious EU-wide collaboration (ARISTOTELES - Applying artificial intelligence to define clinical trajectories for personalized prediction and early detection of comorbidity and multimorbidity patterns) developing novel AI-powered diagnostic tools to support the assessment of multi-morbidity in atrial fibrillation patients. This is a unique opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment at the interface of AI, machine learning, computational healthcare, and clinical translation. You will join Professor Yalin Zheng’s group working on the development of AI and machine learning algorithms and have significant scope to develop your own research ideas within the LCCS over the duration of the position. You will also be given the opportunity to contribute to teaching and engage with career development opportunities.
Have a PhD (or be about to obtain) in areas relevant to this post (e.g. computer science, engineering, Statistics, and mathematics etc.)
The post is available for 30 months with an expected start date of November 2024.
