About the Role
The Campus Maintenance Manager will ensure the maintenance and associated health and safety standards to our campuses are delivered to a professional and high standard, ensuring that Queen Mary employees and students have safe and fully operational academic and residential buildings. Duties will be performed in compliance with the University’s processes and procedures and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
The Manager should be proactive and driven to achieve total customer satisfaction and ensure operational, health, and safety compliance.
The post holder will line manage a team of Multi-Skilled Building Services Operatives. We also have many specialist maintenance contracts in place, and effectively managing these contractors is a significant part of our duties.
About You
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated professional with a proven record of successfully managing and delivering an effective maintenance service team, contractors, customers, and stakeholders.
The candidate should be qualified to a Level 4 HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent in a building-related discipline and have relevant experience in maintenance management, contract management, and project management.
You must have excellent demonstratable people management & communications skills and diverse knowledge of the built environment building services and infrastructures, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, drainage, water hygiene, BMS and controls systems.
