About the Post/Department
We have a full-time permanent vacancy for a suitable candidate to join our Joint Research Management Office. This is a central office which supports all research undertaken in Queen Mary University of London and Bart's Health NHS Trust.
The post holder will be a key member of the Post Award team working closely with the Assistant Post Award Managers and the Costing and Contracts officer responsible for a wide range of funded projects. The purpose of this role is to provide a professional service with respect to a range of financial and partnership management, including project and budget set-up, project staff and student appointment authorisation and compliance to funder and organisational terms and conditions. The post will report to the Post Award Managers.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background. They must have excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills and demonstrate a strong team-work ethic. This role demands the post holder to work on their own initiative and have the ability to manage several projects at once. Previous experience in a similar environment would be advantageous.
The Joint Research Management office is proud of its high service levels and, therefore, applicants should be committed to furthering or developing their expertise in Research Administration. For additional information about this post please contact Emma Cockerton e.cockerton@qmul.ac.uk.
