Background
Research and Enterprise at City St. George's supports academic staff in all areas when applying for externally funded research and enterprise activities. In a typical year, the Research and Enterprise handles 400 research funding proposals, 300 research related contracts (live and new ones), and sets up new awards valued at £10m.
Responsibilities
You will support the Research Support Services team and academic staff by providing high quality advice, information and services across a spectrum of research support activities from sourcing and securing research funding to post-award administrative management - in short a 'cradle to grave' support for academic staff in all aspects of research applications and awards with a focus on pre-award support.
Person Specification
You will bring a well-developed understanding of best practice in supporting research funding applications to the role. You will have experience of working in a similar role in higher education. You will be well versed in the research funding landscape in the UK and associated policy issues.
