Faculty / Directorate
Library and Student Services is a large directorate offering a broad range of support to our students, staff and visitors. The faculty includes: The Careers Team, Library Services, Student Welfare, and Global Team. This is an exciting time to join the directorate as we continue to develop our services to continuously improve the student experience here at DMU.
Role
This is a part time (0.6 FTE) role. The post holder will work in partnership with the Health and Life Sciences Career Development Manager, to develop collaborative links between the Careers Team and De Montfort University students, graduate recruiters, faculties, and the Students’ Union, which support the University’s employability strategy.
You will develop and implement student-facing activities which promote and encourage employability and work experience predominantly in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, through a variety of curricular and noncurricular initiatives, including the delivery of careers workshops, employer events, all with the overall aim of supporting students’ employability and improving the university’s employability outcomes. As well as monitoring and evaluating comprehensive and up-to date management information and labour market intelligence relating to employability activities throughout the student journey.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have experience in delivering career workshops and, information, advice, and guidance to students, informed by knowledge of the graduate employability market. Establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders is vital as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and experience of marketing and/or events management.
