The Antimicrobial and Therapeutics Group, Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics and the Civic Health Innovation Labs, wish to appoint an experienced Senior Data Scientist – Artificial Senior Software Engineer to work on an innovative new research project AMR-X.
AMR-X is a collaborative action research network focused on antimicrobial optimisation for use in humans, underpinned by the values of equity, public/practitioner co-production, training, capacity and capabilities strengthening, and implementation. Its vision is a world where health informatics can facilitate the appropriate, evidence-based use of antibiotics.
The project requires a person who has experience of Bayesian prediction methods for calibration of machine -learning models and who will be able to contribute to the new approach of health informatics, using data and data linkage and developing learning systems, to optimise prescribing and address specific gaps in our ability to improve health outcomes around AMR.
This post is offered on a fixed term basis for 2 years.
